Project: Short-film Posters

Overview

Background

For the short film Road Mike, I lent my talent as a graphic designer, working exclusively through Photoshop.

Goal

Design 8 thematic posters to promote the short film ROAD MIKE.

Problem

I was tasked with creating a set of thematic posters, one for each cast member. I was further instructed to imitate the Grindhouse poster style, but with a western feel.

Solution

I opted to go with a single-color dominant style in order to convey the relationship's between characters. This was accomplished by manipulating the levels, hue, saturation, and color balance of each poster. Color overlays, photo filters, and brushes were then used to give each poster its own distinct style.
