Athletics

At Illinois, we take pride in our Division of Intercollegiate Athletics fields teams for ten men's and eleven women's varsity sports. We recognize our athletic teams as the Fighting Illini and are proud to be in the NCAA Division I and a member of the Big Ten Conference. We also operate a number of athletic facilities, including Memorial Stadium for football, the Assembly Hall for men's and women's basketball, and the Atkins Tennis Center for men's and women's tennis.

Our pride manifest itself into a number of songs we commonly play during our games including: Illinois Loyalty, the school song, Oskee Wow Wow, the fight song, and Hail to the Orange.
